Bio

My name is Xiancheng (Nathan) Zheng. I’m an international student from the University of Toronto Scarborough campus. I’m studying machine learning and data mining, and studio. I’m from Fujian, China. I came to Canada when I was in grade 11. I like watching anime, playing video games, camping, skating and skiing. I make videos because I think video is a very efficient way to share your feelings to someone else. That’s why I am so interested in making videos.
Questionaire
Why did you get involved in this project?
Because it’s fun! Why not!?
Did the one week turn-around for the work help or hinder your creativity?
Yeah, it helps my creativity totally. There are no restrictions on this video. I can do what I want based on my understanding, then someone else will continue making this video based on his or her understanding. I think this will create something interesting.
How did you feel about working on a project where you didn’t know who you were collaborating with?
I will say great! It’s my first time to collaborate with someone I don’t really know and without any communication. That means when I come up with an idea, I don’t really need to care too much, I can just do it.
Has being involved in the project changed your thoughts on creativity?
Yeah! I never expected that my words will become a video like this. The video totally surprised me.
If you worked on several videos, what kept you coming back for more and how many did you do?
I only worked on one video. If I didn’t have summer school, I probably would have worked on more videos.
